Sunny Shapiro is an associate of Carlson Calladine & Peterson LLP. With over 15 years of experience in electronic discovery, document productions, document preservation and litigation holds, depositions, motion practice and trial — Ms. Shapiro has successfully directed all levels of litigation. Her clients include individuals, Fortune 50 companies, contractors, manufacturers/suppliers, as well as legal, insurance and financial industry professionals.
Ms. Shapiro specializes in defense and prosecution of legal malpractice and fiduciary breach claims and gives straightforward advice about the costs and benefits of litigation, provides creative solutions tailored to a client’s individual circumstances and finds the litigation path that balances legal risk and business impact.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Shapiro was counsel at a major international law firm. There she collaborated with in house counsel representing clients as national and litigation counsel in federal and state court in employment, privacy, mass tort and products liability defense. She functions as a valued team member and trusted advisor in the most challenging cases.

In law school Ms. Shapiro interned at the California Department of Justice Office of the Attorney General working on matters involving CEQA, water quality and air pollution. She was then chosen for the prestigious year-long internship in the Antitrust section on the prosecution of U.S. v. Microsoft.

Ms. Shapiro is a admitted to all California State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of California (Northern and Central Districts). She has been recognized as a Super Lawyer Northern California Rising Star.
