Robert M. Peterson is a founding partner of Carlson, Calladine & Peterson and over his twenty-five year career has tried many high stakes cases, lasting from three weeks to three months. Mr. Peterson represents businesses and individuals in high exposure, complex cases, including insurance bad faith, corporate fraud, unfair competition, professional liability, class actions and catastrophic injury in accident and product liability cases.

Clients routinely ask Mr. Peterson on the eve of trial to associate in as trial counsel or to extricate them through unconventional creative strategies. Mr. Peterson is nationally known for his expertise in insurance bad faith and punitive damages. He has tried or litigated insurance bad faith cases in more than 20 states.

Mr. Peterson has held many prominent positions in professional organizations. He has authored over a dozen articles on topics such as punitive damages, class actions, and litigation and trial techniques. He is a frequent speaker at industry seminars, has taught trial and deposition techniques to California lawyers, and mediates cases for the San Francisco Bar Association’s Early Settlement Program. He is a member of Who’s Who in America and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Mr. Peterson is admitted to all California State Courts, the US District Court (Northern, Eastern and Central Districts) and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
